We Proudly Present “A Little Blue” from Pi Jacobs
Travianna Records is pleased to release Los Angeles – based roots rocker, Pi Jacobs’ 7th album – her first with Travianna Records. A Little Blue hits the air and retailers today.
Pi is known for her Americana roots/rock style, but takes a jaunt from her characteristic work with A Little Blue and brings listeners her first all-acoustic project. Produced by the accomplished bluegrass and roots artist and producer, Aaron Ramsey, A Little Blue is the result of their brilliant collaboration and is a vulnerable and sultry project that quickly becomes a vice for the listener. The Midwest Record says, A Little Blue is “folky/roots stuff heavy on killer lyrics that might go to the dark side but never lead you to darkness. A set that’s a musical tonic, add Jacobs to your gotta hear list and enjoy!”
Pi wrote all of the music on this project and left no stone unturned as she dug down into her heart and her roots to bring listeners this album. Of her writing, Fredo Ortiz (Beastie Boys, Los Lobos) said, “Pi gets to the heart of the matter, sweetly and tenderly touching your soul.”

The album begins with “Dance Clean,” an audacious, revival-type song that caught the attention of The Alternate Root Magazine and was listed on their Top Ten Songs of the Week last week. The project also includes its first single “Good Things.” The song’s title describes itself as Pi sings of the good things that can happen in life if you only allow them to. Fans will dig “Weed and Wine” as Pi tells about life living in California. The album also includes the somber, yet liberating ballad “When My Father Is Gone” as well as many other rousing tunes.
