New Music From Summer & Bray
“Kyrie” by Summer & Bray: Hot off the success of two chart tracks, Summer & Bray are set for the worldwide release of their new single “Kyrie” out today, on Travianna Records. The brother-sister duo is excited to present their version of the 80’s #1 Billboard™ Hot 100 hit originally released by Mr. Mister and written by Richard Page, Steve George and John Lang. Kýrie eléison means “Lord, have mercy” and their rendition will no doubt have music fans humming along to this contagious tune.
Summer & Bray’s original song “Heartbeat” recently charted eight times on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 and spent a remarkable 25 weeks on the Bluegrass Today Top 10 Grassicana chart where it reached the #1 spot six times. Another single “Never Gonna Let You Down” spent six weeks in the Top 10 on Grassicana Chart.
“Kyrie” by Summer & Bray: “Kyrie” features lead vocals by Summer McMahan; banjo and vocals by Brayden McMahan; vocals by Katie Fortner; fiddle by Bryan McDowell; Dobro by Jeff Partin; mandolin by Shaun Richardson; guitar by Seth Taylor; bass by Aaron Ramsey; and percussion by Nick Falk.
Summer & Bray returned to Truist Park, the home of the Atlanta Braves, last weekend for a pregame show followed by their performance of the National Anthem. Just some of their impressive past performances include the Grand Ole Opry, for the United States military in Doha, Qatar, pre-game show concerts for the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, NASCAR, and for Super Bowl LI at NRG Arena in Houston, Texas.
It may be hard to believe, but the talented siblings have been captivating audiences for the past 21 years. Hailing from the small town of Sylva, North Carolina, their unique blend of Bluegrass, Country, Pop, Americana, and Gospel made them household names when they became semifinalists on Season 1 of America’s Got Talent (AGT) performing as Mountain Faith Band. “Kyrie” is another example of how Summer & Bray can add their unique style to a well-known song that crosses numerous genres. AGT host Howie Mandell could not have said it better: “This IS America’s music.”
“Kyrie” is now streaming and available for purchase at music sites worldwide.
